ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity are now able to find your posts from Linkedin!

Over the years, Linkedin has been silently tweaking their platform to allow more of their site content to be indexable by search engines. Now, LLMs are able to index not only Linkedin Articles, but also YOUR personal Linkedin posts.

Case in point: I used ChatGPT to look at the kind of stuff I've been posting on Linkedin:

I also asked ChatGPT about my startup, Qurator.com:

And it seems like both company posts and personal posts are being indexed.

What does this mean for you and your brand?

  1. Your Linkedin content has a much longer shelf life now

Linkedin posts have always had a longer shelf life than other social media channels (1 week vs. 24-48 hours), but now it lives on even longer. What you post today could stay relevant for you and your brand many months down the road.

  2. Quality > Quantity applies also to your Linkedin posts LLMs don’t care how often you post—they care what you say. One clear, insightful post is more likely to be indexed, quoted, or summarized than a dozen shallow ones.

  3. Your name is becoming a keyword People can now search you through LLMs. Every public post builds your discoverable personal brand footprint.

  4. Prompt design affects your visibility LLMs respond to prompts like “Who are the top thought leaders in X?” or “Give me a summary of emerging trends in B2B SaaS.” If your content consistently hits topical depth + clarity + public visibility, you’re more likely to be surfaced.

  5. AI might remix or misquote you

LLMs can summarize or paraphrase you without asking. Clarity and intentionality in your messaging are more important than ever.

  6. LLMs are your new homepage Buyers, investors, and recruiters are asking AI about you. Your content isn’t just marketing -- it’s your reputation engine.

How to make sure that you and your posts are findable by LLMs (or not)

Whether or not your profile and posts show up depends on your settings on Linkedin, so make sure you have it correctly set up:

  • Profile visibility off Linkedin To change this, simply go to Settings & Privacy > Visibility of your profile & network > Edit your pubilc profile. You'll see finer control options here.

  • Post visibility off Linkedin This can be controlled per post. Simply click on Post settings > Who can see your post? and choose the appropriate one for you.

Turn your Linkedin posts into an asset for your brand

Linkedin, much like Reddit, is being treated by search engines and LLMs as a priority with much higher domain authority, so it is also more likely to be found than your own website. Whether or not you are in B2B, founder-led sales, or simply someone looking for a job, this presents new opportunities.

P.S. Writing this post has forced me to examine my own Linkedin profile and see that it's time to give it some more love.
